SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a low-profile position detection system. The position detection system comprises at least one camera, two sources of light radiation at the distance from each other, a part of a detection area and a prismatic film located along the outer border, at least of a part of the specified detection area. The prismatic film contains: multiple separate trihedral cubic angle reflective elements, having such errors e1, e2 and e3 of dihedral angles, that e1≈e2≠0 and e3≈0, and at the same time e1 and e2 are either both positive, or both negative in each separate trihedral cubic angle element.
EFFECT: more accurate detection of introduced object position.
