FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine and can be used for soft tissue repair, as an anchor dilator and delivery device. A suture anchor comprises a body with a proximal end and a distal end. The body is threaded along at least a part of a body length and bears two cross-pieced through holes. The thread is profiled so that turns of the thread nearby the distal end of the body have a first shape, whereas those adjoining the proximal end of the body have a second shape. The second shape of the turns is different from the first one. The anchor has a cannulation extending through the anchor so that a segment of the cannulation encloses one of the through holes and form slots to enclose a section of an anchor insertion device.
EFFECT: anchor provides reliable tissue attachment to a bone.
