The system contains sensors installed at the entrance to the tunnel to obtain meteorological parameters in the tunnel, a meteorological map generator, a control panel, a communication channel with the on-board security system of the locomotive. In this case, the sensors are made in the form of a radio meteorological complex, including a meteorological radar station, a microwave radiometer, a radial Doppler velocity detector at different antenna elevation angles, a radial wind velocity spectrum width detector, the sensors are connected to computer equipment via a pantograph - contact network communication line.
