FIELD: nanotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of production of powder of nano-sized hydroxyapatite (nHA) in a microwave field with the use of agar-agar as a combustible additive. The method of obtaining the nano-sized hydroxyapatite in the microwave field comprises preparing and mixing aqueous solutions of calcium nitrate, ammonium hydrogen phosphate, ammonia to maintain the pH of the mixture of 10-11 and the weighed quantity of agar-agar followed by exposure to microwave radiation for 30 minutes, settling of the mother liquor for 48 hours, drying at a temperature of 100°C for 20 hours and calcination at 400°C for 2 hours. At that the combustible additive is added to the reaction mixture simultaneously with the solution of calcium nitrate.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain nano-sized hydroxyapatite with high specific surface area and improved biological activity.
