FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: transverse and longitudinal auricular dimensions at end diastole are measured by two-dimensional echocardiography in a parasternal position of a long axis of the left ventricle, and a left auricular remodelling coefficient is followed thereafter. If the left auricular remodelling coefficient tends to increase more than 0.46, the spherical left auricular remodelling can be stated.
EFFECT: method enables detecting a left auricular involvement early during the disease.
