SUBSTANCE: under the method of chromatographic separation of lutecium (Lu) and ytterbium (Yb) the gel strong sulphonic acid cationit Cybber KX 100 is used, Lu and Yb elution is performed by 0.3-1.0% solution of ammonium salt of ethylendiaminetetraacetic acid at feed rate of eluting solution 0.1-0.5 vol/vol of ionite per hour, and specific load of cationite 6-10%. Iron (III) ions are used as inhibitor.

EFFECT: increased capacity of cationite, degree of extraction and separation of Lu and Yb.
