FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: mechanised beverage preparation device (1) contains actuating means that contain an electric motor (3) and a brewing unit (2) containing the first assembly (13) and the second assembly (14) that are conjugated with each other. Each assembly forms part of the brewing chamber (29) accommodating the ingredient capsule (30). At least either (14) of the said assemblies is movable from the conjugated assembly (13) into the open position inside the device (for formation of a passage (31) between the assemblies for introduction of the ingredient capsule into the brewing unit and/or for removal of a spent capsule from the brewing unit) or towards the conjugated assembly into the closed position inside the device (for the brewing chamber formation). The electric motor is of low-power type, designed so that to generate a maximum torque not in excess of 50 mN·m and/or to provide for power consumption not in excess of 50 W for setting the said movable assembly in motion between the open and the closed position.

EFFECT: consumed power reduction.
