FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the metallurgy, namely to the methods of production of high strength α+β-titanium alloys, that can be used in engineering, where combination of high strength and corrosion resistance, and small weight is necessary. Method item forming out of α+β-titanium alloy containing in wt %: aluminium from 2.90 to 5.00, vanadium from 2.00 to 3.00, iron from 0.40 to 2.00, oxygen from 0.10 to 0.30, titanium and unintentional impurities - rest, includes cold pressure working of the alloy at temperature in range from ambient temperature to 500°F, and ageing at temperature in range from 700°F to 1200°F after cold pressure working without the solution treatment between cold pressure working and ageing.
EFFECT: alloy is characterised by high mechanical characteristics, high corrosion resistance, there are no high thermal and internal stresses or bucking.
