FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: in the stated invention, as in the prototype, the method of measurement of liquid media level includes distribution of heated junctions of differentially connected thermocouples along reservoir height, registration of electric signals arriving from information outlets and characterising the difference of temperatures in areas of junction placement, determination of liquid medium level in a reservoir on the basis of processing of registered signals. Junctions are heated by means of electric pulses supplied directly to electrodes of differentially connected thermocouples, determination of liquid medium level in the reservoir is carried out according to the signal different from zero, from the appropriate differentially connected thermocouples.

EFFECT: simplified method to measure level of liquid medium with simultaneous increase of accuracy and efficiency.
