FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cutting of plastic articles arranged in a continuous plastic band for application in medicine. First, positions of interrelated plastic articles built in continuous plastic band are defined with the help of optical device for data acquisition and cutting pattern is calculated. The laser is adjusted by appropriate control system composed of adjustable focusing optical system, adjustable deflection device and beam-forming device. Subject to defined position parameters of said focal point position and intensity of the laser are adjusted. Interrelated plastic articles in said plastic band are cut in compliance with calculated cutting pattern. Plastic articles or plastic article packages are cut at their temperature of 60-155°C.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of cutting.
