FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: on slot of carbon block on the layer of carbon containing electric conducting material the current conducting metal rod is laid, it is pre-cleaned from oxide film, and is heated by HF current to temperature ensuring partial sintering of the current conducting paste upon contact with metal rod.
EFFECT: invention ensures reliable electromechanical contact current conducting metal rod-carbon block, reduces electrical resistivity, increases productivity of installation of hearth of the electrolyser and its service life.
