FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns a method for detecting if a test with a biological fluid sample and/or a biological fluid component introduced into a flow test element has been conducted correctly. Th element has several functional areas (3, 4, 5, 6) connected to each other at least partially and comprising an area of introduction designed for fluid sample introduction, and a test area (5) connected to the area of introduction (3) and configured to detect a marker in the sample. The flow test element has at least one connective area (4) arranged between the test area (5) and the area of introduction (3), connected to the above areas (3, 5) and entrapping at least 95% of erythrocytes, and a control area (6) arranged downstream of the test area (5), connected thereto and comprising a control chemical agent. For one or more functional areas (3, 4, 5, 6), at least one optical parameter is measured and compared to its pre-set value associated with one or more functional areas (3, 4, 5, 6).

EFFECT: enabling optical determination of an erythrocyte count.
