FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power generation, particularly, marine windmills to be operated in Arctic zone. The marine windmill comprises vertical tower. Windmill tope accommodates the nacelle with the hub and electric generator revolving about the tower vertical axis. The blades fitted at said hub revolve about the nacelle horizontal axis directed windward. The platform is mounted at the tower lower section while bearing plate is located at the tower underwater section. Ice-breaking device composed of two conical sections with the common bed is arranged at the waterline level right around the tower. The first section features the straight taper extending upward from the waterline and the second section features the inverted taper extending downward from the waterline, inclination to horizontal making 45 to 60 degrees. The diameter of common bed is 1.5-2.5 larger than the tower mean diameter. The tower mean diameter-to-tower height ratio makes 0.04-0.06. Note also that said marine windmill is equipped with deicing devices, meteorological equipment and platform.
EFFECT: decreased ice effects owing to ice breakage.
