FIELD: oil-and-gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: claimed invention relates to oil field equipment, particularly, to mud pumps. Claimed direct-drive mud pump comprises the motor with permanent magnets, shaft engaged with said motor and the pump delivery unit engaged with the shaft end opposite to the motor. The latter comprises the housing with inner chamber and wall surrounding the latter, rotor engaged with the stator and fitted therein. The stator is arranged to abut on the housing wall and comprises the set of windings and outer coating. Said set of windings are spaced apart around the outer coating inner surface. Said inner surface makes the round opening. The windings extend radially inward from the outer coating that spaces apart the set of windings and the wall. The rotor is engaged with the shaft to transmit rotation developed by the motor to the shaft, hence, to the pump delivery unit with no transmission.
EFFECT: higher specific power, decreased inertia, ease of transportation and assembly.
