FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to synthesis of zeolites and their application. Iron-containing zeolite beta is obtained without using organic structuring agent. Molar ratio of silicon dioxide and aluminium oxide (SAR) constitutes from 5 to 20. Said iron is present in quantity, constituting from 1.0 to 10 wt %. Zeolite demonstrates NOx conversion, constituting, at least, 40% at 200°C for selective catalytic reduction with ammonia-forming compound after exposure at 700°C for 16 hours in presence of up to 10 vol % of water vapour.
EFFECT: invention provides simplification of method for obtaining zeolite, possessing selectivity in processes of catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides in waste gases.
