FIELD: minerals; zeolites.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to zeolites (molecular sieves), which are used as catalysts for the treatment of exhaust gases from combustion in internal combustion engines, gas turbines, coal-fired power plants. The aluminosilicate zeolite contains at least 90% of the pure AEI framework phase, has a cuboid morphology and a silica to alumina ratio of 25 to 30.
EFFECT: catalysts containing such zeolites have improved selectivity for N2O while maintaining acceptable performance characteristics of the catalyst in a fresh state.
