FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a resource measuring system, comprising: a terminal device (25) which consumes a power consumption resource for use in a building (2) or in a street lighting system, wherein the device comprises a detection unit, which generates state information and a utility (efficiency) indicator; an intelligent meter (20), comprising a communication circuit with an interface, configured to receive from said device state information and said utility indicator; a measuring device connected to a medium (17), which delivers the resource to said device; and a control circuit connected to the measuring device for collecting resource consumption data, wherein the control circuit is connected to the communication circuit and is configured to generate monitoring data to be transmitted in a secure mode to a server (10), after processing state information and said indicator. The monitoring data are used when determining consumption tariffs to encourage the use of energy-saving devices.

EFFECT: designing an automatic energy-measuring system for collecting data from measuring devices located near a point of use or consumption, which effectively motivates the consumer to improve their behaviour when using energy, without overlooking user priorities.
