FIELD: heating.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the thermocycler design for use during thermocycling reactions in molecular biology. The thermocycler contains: a thermal unit (34) for sampler installation; a thermoelectric element (36) of Peltier type; a heating device (38) different from Peltier element; a heatsink (28); a heat pipe (40) connecting the heatsink with Peltier element. The Peltier element is located near the thermal unit, and is made with possibility of its cooling for the thermocycling reaction. The heating device is located near the thermal unit and is made with possibility of its heating for the thermocycling reaction. The thermal unit is installed between the Peltier element and the heating device. The heatsink is separated from the thermal unit and Peltier element. The heat pipe connects the heatsink with the Peltier element, and ensures the thermal energy transfer from the Peltier element to the heatsink. The thermal unit has the first side for sample reception, and additionally contains a pair of opposite sides. The Peltier element is in heat contact with the first opposite side of the thermal unit, and the heating device is in heat contact with the second opposite side of the thermal unit.

EFFECT: shorter cycling period, and device operation in wide range of environment temperatures are ensured.
