SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to amplification of nucleic acid. Method for controlling a plurality of nucleic acid amplification protocols in a plurality of reactors, implemented on one or more computer processors, wherein each of said protocols comprises one or more steps, wherein each of said stages cycles comprises a heating step and a cooling step, wherein the heating step and/or the cooling step comprises a time for detecting the nucleic acid. Method includes determining, providing or realizing access to data of detection cycle duration, including time interval required to move detector head to each of said plurality of reactors and performing a nucleic acid detection detector head in each of said plurality of reactors, receiving or accessing at least one stage heating or cooling step of one of said plurality of protocols, where at least one heating or cooling step has a duration of the step and comprises a time for detecting the nucleic acid, and determining a first time correction for said at least one heating or cooling step by increasing said duration of the step of at least one heating or cooling step so that the cycle time of the protocol steps is a multiple of the length of the nucleic acid detection cycle. Also disclosed is a non-volatile computer-readable medium and a system for controlling a plurality of nucleic acid amplification protocols in a plurality of reactors.
