FIELD: processing and recycling of waste.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of burial of radioactive wastes (RAW) of nuclear power engineering and research of deep layers of lithosphere. Device has axially symmetric spatial fuel assembly (1), formed by fuel and connecting elements (2, 3). Assembly (1) is made in the shape of a disc. Fuel elements (2) are rigidly interconnected by connecting elements (3) made of refractory material. Elements (2) are located relative to each other with spatial gaps. Between the surfaces of fuel and connecting elements (2, 3) there are formed flowing channels (4), connecting the upper and lower end surfaces of assembly (1). Fuel elements (2) include a tight shell made of refractory material and filled with active radionuclides and heat-conducting filler. Containers (5) connected to the upper part of assembly (1) are filled with RAW subject to burial or are used for arrangement of measuring equipment.
EFFECT: increased speed of device immersion, increased payload, including RAW subject to burial, and higher reliability.
