FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radioactive waste (RW) burial devices, as well as to test devices (6, 7) of geological rocks (8) in deep layers of lithosphere up to mantle (9). The proposed device includes a sealed container, the housing (1) of which is made from high-melting-point material and filled with heat-releasing elements (2) with a strong cover and heat-conducting filler (3). Covers of elements are filled with RW and heat-releasing active radionuclides. The housing has two end surfaces and one side surface, which have an axisymmetrical shape. Height H of the container along its symmetry axis and maximum cross dimension of the container in the plane located perpendicular to its symmetry axis are chosen based on the following: D>4H. The container is equipped with heat insulation (4) located on the side of the upper end surface, above which zones of molten (11) and hardened melts (12) of geological rocks are located. Projections are made on the lower end surface of the housing, under which layer (10) of the molten geological rocks is located. A possibility of using additional container (5) for arrangement of RAW capsules is provided.
EFFECT: increase of submersion speed; increase of volume and weight of submersible substances or equipment and reduction of temperature of the container housing and internal elements of the device structure.
