FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: quinoline derivatives (quinoline, quinaldine) undergo ion-molecular reactions with nucleogenic fluorinated phenyl cations, which are generated during beta decay of tritium in difluoro-ditritiumbenzene in the presence of a stabilising salt - potassium tetrafluoroborate, which enables the simultaneous introduction of a tritium marker and two fluorine atoms into the phenyl ring of a quaternised nitrogen atom of the heterocycle and increases the output of the onium salt in case of a 2-methyl derivative of quinoline.
EFFECT: providing an easy-to-execute, reactant-affordable, high radiochemical output single-step method of producing tritium-labelled N-difluorophenyl quinoline derivatives, that can be used as radioactive markers when conducting biological and medical investigations.
