SUBSTANCE: to obtain nickel nanoparticles coated with a carbon layer, dry Chinese hibiscus petals soaked with aqueous nickel chloride are thermally decomposed in a 10-1 mbar vacuum. Decomposition is carried out by heating to the temperature of 600-700°C for 30-40 min at a rate of 20°C/min. The said petals are soaked with a 0.1 M aqueous solution of NiCl2·6H2O for 10-20 hours.

EFFECT: invention simplifies the production of nickel nanoparticles via green synthesis.
