FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to raw propylene oxide refining method and propylene oxide production method including the refining method. According to the refining method raw propylene oxide is introduced into the first column of azeotropic distillation and subjected to azeotropic distillation, conditions of the first azeotropic distillation allow receipt of the biggest quantity of propylene oxide and part of methanol from the material introduced into the first column of azeotropic distillation in the form of azeotropic solution from the column top and allow receipt of residue methanol and small amount of propylene oxide from the column bottom, propylene oxide in effluent of the first column bottom does not exceed 5 wt %; azeotropic solution produced in the top portion of the first column of azeotropic distillation is introduced into the second column of azeotropic distillation and subjected to azeotropic distillation, conditions of the second azeotropic distillation allow receipt of the biggest quantity of methanol and part of polypropylene oxide from compositions introduced into the second column of azeotropic distillation in the form of azeotropic solution from the column top and allow receipt of residue methanol and small amount of propylene oxide from the column bottom, methanol in effluent of the second column bottom does not exceed 5 wt %; azeotropic solution produced in the top portion of the second column of azeotropic distillation is returned into the first column of azeotropic distillation and subjected to azeotropic distillation together with raw polypropylene oxide.
