FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to variants of a method for producing an epoxy alkane and to a system for producing an epoxy alkane. One of the variants of the method includes separation of a first stream containing an epoxy alkane, an extraction agent and a diol in the separation column; extraction of the stream of the product containing the epoxy alkane from the upper part of the separation column; and removal of the extraction agent, primarily in the form of a stream from the boiler of the column, from the lower part of the separation column. The method therein additionally includes extraction of a second stream containing an azeotrope of the extraction agent and diol from the side outlet of the separation column, located below the supply point, wherein the epoxy alkane is selected from at least one of propylene oxide and butylene oxide, and the diol is selected from at least one of 1,2-propylene glycol and 1,2-butanediol.
EFFECT: proposed group of inventions provides a possibility of synthesising an epoxy alkane with low extraction agent losses, high purity of the circulating extraction agent, and high epoxy alkane yield with low power consumption.
