SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to instant diagnostic tests. Described is a portable diagnostic unit comprising a receive port with a removable diagnostic cartridge, an element connected to an electronic device, detectors for test data recording of a biological or natural sample responded to reagents in the cartridge. The diagnostic unit also comprises a memory unit storing algorithms for uploading into the electronic device and enabling its processor unit to: wait until a pre-set time after the sample response to the reagents expires; use the detectors to transmit a test data recording command; generate presentation data on the basis of the test data; and provide the user with the presentation data by means of a presentation element of the electronic device. What is also described is a respected method which involves the stages of connection, uploading, presentation, introduction of the cartridge, waiting, readout and processing in the electronic device.

EFFECT: ensured simplification and higher reliability of the instant diagnostic tests.
