SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a connector that can be used to connect components, in particular, of medical diagnostic devices used in medicine and veterinary medicine, such as a video endoscope. Connector is provided for receiving and/or transmitting a plurality of signals, comprising inserts one covered into one another and covering parts. On the outer surface of the male part and on the internal surface of the male part, at least one row of mutually corresponding two or more contact elements is formed. These row or rows extend in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the connector at an angle to the specified axis, so that each subsequent in the direction to the tip of the corresponding part of the connector contact element of each row is offset from the previous contact element of the specified row in the radial direction inside the covered part and outwards covering part of the connector. Medical endoscopic device for diagnostic, therapeutic or surgical operations contains a control unit and removable distal nozzle, moreover, the nozzle and the control unit are connected via the above mentioned connector with the possibility of transmitting signals to/from the nozzle from/to the control unit. Method of conducting diagnostic, therapeutic or surgical treatment using a medical device includes the following steps: removable distal nozzle is connected to the control unit through the above mentioned connector; power is supplied to the control unit; introduce a removable distal nozzle into the examined area of ​​the patient's body; diagnostic, therapeutic or surgical treatment is carried out, determined by the type of attached removable distal nozzle. Method for making a plug connection using the above mentioned connector comprises the following steps: introducing the male part into the female part of the connector by linear movement along the longitudinal axis of the connector until the closing contact of the respective connector elements of the connector is achieved.

EFFECT: use of this group of inventions will simplify the connection and disconnection of the distal nozzle from the control unit of a device and its replacement with another one.
