FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used for detecting unauthorized leakages of thermal energy. Disclosed is a method of calibrating and checking measurement system of unit for metering thermal energy and heat carrier with disturbances, based on switching of coolant flow with supply pipeline through reference calibration unit on return pipeline and disconnection of measuring system from a consumption object. In heat carrier flow is introduced an additional reference calibration unit, controlled non-uniformity of temperature field of heating system inside object and adjacent objects without meters. Readings of standard calibration units are compared to each other and nature of non-uniformity of change of temperature fields. Results of comparison and non-uniformity of fields are used to determine generation of disturbances and disconnection of object from heat on error and measurement reliability of measuring heat energy and heat carrier.

EFFECT: technical result is high reliability of results.
