FIELD: ophthalmology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sterilisation, particularly to disinfection of an ophthalmic lens. For quantitative determination of disinfectant doses of ultraviolet radiation (UV-radiation), sufficient for sterilisation of an ophthalmic lens using one or more additional indicators, adds one or more dyes FD&C (chemical indicators based on decomposition of food, medicines and cosmetics) that can interact until decomposition of one or more indicators, defined by easily visible colour change and/or UV fluorescence radiation, in aqueous solution; use of UV radiation dose for controlled period of time and with controlled intensity; and obtaining feedback due to decomposition of one or more indicators.

EFFECT: use of invention enables quantitative determination of disinfectant UV radiation doses sufficient for sterilisation of ophthalmic lenses.
