FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compounds of the formula I, which absorb different wavelengths of UV-radiation and/or high-energy visible radiation, remain visually transparent, when embedded in a product, and which can be used in polymer products, including biomedical devices, such as lenses. In the formula I, R1, R2, and R3 are independently H or -Y-Pg; X is CR4R5 or O; R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, and R9 are independently H; Y is C1-C8alkyleneoxy, and Pg is (meth)acrylate, where at least one of R1, R2, and R3 is -Y-Pg. The invention also relates to a lens containing the specified compounds, its production method, and a silicone-hydrogel contact lens.
EFFECT: obtainment of compounds for absorption of UV-radiation.
