FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: there are described two methods for manufacturing a combination tabletted form containing paracetamol in the amount of 35-45 wt % of total weight of the tabletted form, propyphenazone in the amount of 25-37 wt %, codeine phosphate in the amount of 1.1-1.9 wt % and caffeine in the amount of 5-9 wt % and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients. The first version of the method provides mixing paracetamol, codeine phosphate and caffeine with an excipient and disintegrant in a fast mixer. Paracetamol is presented in the form of pressed granulate produced by wet granulation with aqueous solution of povidone, copovidone or hydroxypropyl cellulose. Then propyphenazone is added; the produced mixture is pressed and tabletted. The second version of the method involves direct mixing of the active substances and excipients, and pressing the mixture in tablets. Paracetamol is presented in the form of pressed granulate produced by wet granulation with aqueous solution of povidone, copovidone or hydroxypropyl cellulose, whereas codeine is presented in the form of codeine phosphate powder or granulate produced by dry granulation.
EFFECT: ensuring the improved compression characteristics.
