FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a new tetracyclic 1,2,4-trioxolanes with formula I, where Ia: R=H, R1=CH3, m=n=1; Ib: R=1-cyclohexenyl, R1=H, m=n=1; Ic: R=R1=H, m=1, n=2; Id: R=R1=H, m=n=0; Ie: R=R1=H, m= n=1, on the basis of 1,5-diketones of the general formula II and their cyclic form melts IIIa, e, wherein R, R1, m and n have defined above values; which consists in the oxidation of said initial compounds in 28% aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide in an organic solvent (diethyl ether, ethanol) in the presence of catalytic amounts of acid (HCl, H2SO4) or BF3·OEt2 at room temperature with a molar ratio of 1,5-diketone:H2O2=1:1.5-3.

EFFECT: development of efficient and environmentally friendly method of producing previously unknown tetracyclic 1,2,4-trioxolanes with specified composition, which can be used as starting substances in organic synthesis, as initiators for radical polymerisation, as well as in pharmacology and medicine as a biologically active compounds with antimalarial, antiparasitic and anticancer activity.
