SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wood chemical industry, namely, to methods of tar-producing used in veterinary science, leather and pharmaceutical industry. Method of producing pine tar of coniferous wood is realised by pyrolysis, followed by condensation of the target product, at that, live steam is fed into the pyrolysis zone at a temperature of 140°C and under a pressure of 2.0-2.5 kgf/cm², as well as spent noncondensable gases produced during pyrolysis, for uniform heating of raw material.

EFFECT: use of the presented method makes it possible to adjust the technological process, to reduce duration of the full cycle and to produce quality products.
