FIELD: test and measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire alarm systems and can be used to monitor performance of detectors without additional external testing devices. Test pulses used are natural hard earth and cosmic radiation in form of corpuscular pulses which are received, detected and transmitted through a measuring cycle, at output of which is measured time distance between adjacent pulses, which is compared with set values and sensor performance is determined based on results of said evaluation according to a “yes” or “no” binary system.
EFFECT: technical result is a longer operating period without maintenance, a higher probability of error-free testing due to an automatic and continuous testing process.
