FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to experimental medicine and can be used for modelling chronic bone tissue defect with scleroid wall. For this purpose, at medial surface of the proximal tibia epiphysis under sharp angle to its surface a blind cylindrical defect is formed by circular motions with rounded bottom and with depth up to opposite cortical plate. After that, in the formed bone tissue defect before its cooling a drill heated up to temperature not less than 100 °C with diameter corresponding to the diameter of formed defect. Then the bone cement is prepared based on polymethyl-methacrylate. Plastic ball of volume sufficient for tight filling of the formed defect is prepared. Then it is inserted into the formed bone tissue defect until the final polymerization of cement. Thereafter, the wound is sutured and washed. On the 90-h day the cement is removed.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain a model of bone tissue defect which is clearly visualized on radiographs and is suitable for studying osteogenesis and reaction after implantation of bone tissue substituting materials.
