SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to radiation therapy, and can be used for neoadjuvant thermochemoradiation treatment of rectal cancer. Radiation therapy is carried out with dose fractionation in a single basic dose (SBD) 2 Gy to a total basic dose (TBD) of 50 Gy for 5 weeks. Radiation therapy is combined with hyperthermia with underlying chemotherapy: oxaliplatinum 50 mg/m² intravenously drop-by-drop on 1st, 8th, 22nd, 29th days of radiation therapy and capecitabine in dosage 825 mg/m² 2 times day from 1st to 14th and from 22nd to 33rd days of radiation therapy. Remote conventional gamma-ray therapy is daily 5 times a week. Capecitabine is ingested. It is followed by 4-5 sessions of local electromagnetic hyperthermia in 1st, 3rd, 8th, 10th and 12th days of radiation therapy. Hyperthermia is performed 30–40 minutes before radiation therapy at tumor temperature 41–44 °C, frequency 13.56 MHz, exposure time 50–70 minutes.

EFFECT: method provides higher radiosensitivity of adenogenic rectal cancer by combining radiation therapy, hyperthermia and chemotherapy.
