SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to oncology, radiation therapy and surgery; it can be used in the combined treatment of rectal cancer. The method includes conventional radiation therapy with fractionation of a dose in a single focal dose (SFD) of 2 Gy to the total focal dose (TFD) of 50 Gy for 5 weeks against the background of taking capecitabine at a dose of 1650 mg/m² once a day from 1 to 14 and from 22 to 33 days of radiation therapy. After four weeks, 4 cycles of Folfox6 consolidating chemotherapy are performed: oxaliplatin 100 mg/m² intravenously, 5 fluorouracil 400 mg/m² intravenously bolus, leucovorin 400 mg/m² intravenously bolus, 5 fluorouracil 2400 mg/m² intravenously dropwise through a dispenser for 46 hours. 4 weeks after the end of consolidating chemotherapy, all patients are assessed for clinical regression of the tumor based on a combination of MRI data, finger examination and endoscopic picture.

EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to increase the radiosensitivity of the tumor and contributes to an increase in the percentage of complete regression.
