FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sheet rolling in ferrous and nonferrous metallurgy. Method involves deformation of workpieces in four-high stand with working rolls with barrel cylindrical surface and support rolls with surface in form of one-sheet hyperboloid, contacting with each other along straight forming reference and working rolls. Higher efficiency of action on transverse profile and shape of strip, simplified transfer of rolls is ensured by fact that before rolling turning support rolls intercrossed and crossing of their longitudinal axes in horizontal plane in middle of roll barrel length to make acute angle, during deformation angle is corrected crossing longitudinal axes of support rolls within angle at which longitudinal axes of working rolls are parallel and are located in vertical plane perpendicular to rolling axis.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of action on transverse profile and shape of strip, simplified transfer of rolls.
