FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rolling of strips in ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy. Proposed method comprises deformation of metal in four-high stand. At that, said deformation is performed by cylindrical working rollers contacting with straight surface of barrel of support rollers made up of single-sheet hyperboloid. Longitudinal axes of the support rolls are located on a vertical plane perpendicular to which forms an acute angle with the longitudinal axis of rolling. Deformation can be performed by parallel working rolls. Said deviation of support rolls axes from rolling axis is alternately changed between stands of strip mill finishing group. At that, during reverse rolling, said deflection of parallel axes of support rolls from reversing rolling axis is performed between passes.
EFFECT: invention enables continuous updating of working roll surface contact with deformable strip under action of axial loads.
