FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to orthopaedics, neurosurgery, radiology and neurology. For estimating parameters of sagittal lumbosacral spinal balance x-ray or magnetic resonance imaging of lumbar spine is performed. In programs for viewing and image processing parameters: angle lordosis, chord circle, circle segment height, tilt angle and angle of deviation of sacral bone as angle between line drawn from centre of locking lamina S1 to ventral surface of disc S2-S3 and vertical plane. Lumbar coefficient Kl, sacral coefficient Ks and sagittal lumbosacral balance LSB are calculated based on derived parameters. If LSB is 0.19 and less interrelation lumbar and sacral spine are considered abnormal with postural dysfunction and high risk of developing degenerative spine diseases. If LSB is 0.20 and more interrelation anatomical and geometrical parameters of lumbar and sacral spine is considered to be optimal without postural dysfunction and low risk of developing degenerative spine.
EFFECT: method enables objective diagnosis and prediction of developing pathological process, determine optimum therapeutic approach, as well as assessing dynamics of process in patients following surgical management, due to inclusion in assessment of balance of such parameter as angle of deviation of sacral bone.
