FIELD: packaging industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control of at least one empty vessel, as a rule, an empty bottle (5), with recognition of position indicator located on the surface of empty vessel. Vessel or bottle before the control passes through the module (1) for identification, in which optically and/or by means of sensors a preset position of recognized item is read for the purpose of identification of actual position. At the following control (6) for a certain item position first mask is generated so that during the first control (6) in the area of the first mask no error is identified. After the first control the vessel is turned at preset angle with the help of module (8) and position of calculated item together with displacement generated by turning are determined and provided as a new position during the second control (7), where for provided new position of item a second mask is generated as to no error could be identified within the second mask area during the second control.

EFFECT: invention provides higher reliability of control.
