FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separation of the mix of light fluid and water. Claimed separator comprises the inlet pipe with inlet baffle arranged at the tank first side to direct the fed mix downward and to divide the mix flow into, in fact, two equal parts, the outlet pipe with outlet tube and the round- or elliptic cross-section-streamlined wall with inner and outer sides. Streamlined wall extends over at least half the complete circle and has the bore facing the opposite inlet pipe of the tank second side. Note here that said streamlined wall between outer side and the tank wall makes two flow sections at two opposite tank wall sides from the inlet pipe to the tank second side. One of the first portions of the flow is fed in flow sections from the inlet pipe to the tank second side along the tank wall. Note here that both first portions of the mix flow at the tank opposite side collide to be combined with opposite directions of the mix flow.

EFFECT: ruled out the separator clogging, hence, faults in its operation.
