SUBSTANCE: invention can be used during geophysical survey of wells. In compliance with this method in the well is arranged to displace acoustic logging device containing at least one source of directional acoustic signals and at least one receiver. At each step of acoustic logging prior to measurements the position of acoustic logging instrument in well and/or shape of the well is determined. Required direction for emission of directional acoustic signal is determined and the angle of rotation around axis of the source device to provide the required direction is calculated. Directed acoustic signal source is turned accordingly calculated angle and acoustic parameters are measured.
EFFECT: higher quality of logging data.
