SUBSTANCE: invention relates to image processing. A method of driving an image recording device, the device comprising: a pixel for outputting a pixel signal and an analogue-to-digital conversion means for converting an analogue signal into a digital signal; wherein the analogue-to-digital conversion means comprises: comparison means for outputting a resultant comparison signal (CMP) obtained by comparing the analogue signal with a reference signal, the potential of which varies over time, and counting means for counting a clock signal; wherein the method comprises: generating the first digital signal (DN1); generating the second digital signal (DN2); generating the third digital signal; correcting the third digital signal based on the first digital signal (DN1) and the second digital signal (DN2).

EFFECT: reducing an offset included in the digital signal, which arises due to the difference between the time, when the potential of the reference signal begins to vary over time and the time when the counter begins to count the clock signal.
