SUBSTANCE: invention relates to determination of indications for maximum radical treatment of chronic pancreatitis with pronounced changes of pancreatic gland (PG). Method comprises multi-slice computed tomography with bolus contrast with definition of average of ratio of “late” phase for 60-70 seconds, and “early” phase 40-45 seconds from introduction of a contrast agent minus of each indicator in terms of Hounsfield values of density of each of PG sections in native phase before introduction of a contrast agent. Method then includes performing acoustic pulse-wave elastometry with definition of velocity of propagation of shear waves in prostate tissue. Average is calculated from obtained 8-10 values of shear wave propagation speed. When average CT density ratio is more than 0.97, and average velocity of propagation of shear waves is more than 2.14 m/s, here is evidence to most radical surgery.

EFFECT: method provides accuracy of determining indications for said type of treatment in said group of patients, reducing risk of complications and blood loss in surgery.
