SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine. A multi-purpose ophthalmic surgical system comprises: an imaging system configured to support lens target area detection in cataract; a laser unit configured to supply laser pulses for cataract management to perform photodisruption of a segment of the target area in cataract. The imaging system is also configured to support peripheral target area detection in glaucoma; and the laser unit is also configured to supply laser pulses for glaucoma management to make one or more incisions in the target area in glaucoma by photodisruption. The laser pulses for cataract management and those for glaucoma management are supplied during a combination surgical intervention.
EFFECT: higher effectiveness of the method.
