SUBSTANCE: improving magnetic properties of steel heating steel slab containing wt %: Si 3.0-4.0, C 0.020-0.10, Ni 0.005-1.50, Mn 0.005-0.3, soluble Al 0.01-0.05, N 0.002-0.012, at least one element selected from S and Se, in total 0.05 or less, Fe and incidental impurities making balance, slab hot rolling, annealing, single or multiple cold rolling with intermediate annealing between them, primary recrystallisation annealing and secondary recrystallisation annealing, wherein during roughing if temperature transition α-phase is defined proceeding from expression: Tα[˚C]= 1383.98 - 73.29 [%Si] + 2426.33 [%C] + 271.68 [%Ni], first roughing pass is performed at temperature of (Tα-100)°C or higher with rolling reduction of 30% or more, and during finish rolling of hot rolling, if temperature of the maximum volume fraction of γ-phase is defined proceeding from expression: Tγmax [˚C]= 1276.47 - 59.24 [%Si] + 919.22 [%C] + 149.03 [%Ni] that, at least, one pass of finish rolling is made in temperature range of (Tγmax±50)°C with rolling reduction of 40% or more.

EFFECT: improved magnetic properties of steel.
