FIELD: electrical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to drying equipment and can be applied in food and feedstuff industry for drying products of vegetal and animal origin. Method for sublimation drying includes placing of product as a layer into dielectric tray, freezing, sublimation of product in vacuum chamber by supply of microwave energy emitted by the two oppositely directed antennae, and condensate drain. Layer of product placed into tray with a bottom of dielectric woven mesh and installed horizontally and parallel to box waveguide bottom. Microwave power flow is directed perpendicular to plane of bottom tray. Discharge of evaporated moisture is removed via vacuum lines from geometrical centre of microwave chamber large sides.
EFFECT: due to the proposed technological features of trays location and direction of microwave energy supply to the bottom trays, improved product quality, uniformity of its processing, and reduced specific power consumption are achieved.
