FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: described is method for obtaining heat-insulating material, based on wood and thermoplastic wastes, which includes mixing filling agent, binding agent and chemical addition, characterised by the fact that 4±2 mm thick wood technological chips are used as filling agent, thermoplastic plastics, consisting of polyethyleneterephthalate (PET), polystyrene (PS), low-pressure polyethylene (LPPE) and high-pressure polyethylene (HPPE) polymers, are used as binding agent, foaming agent azodicarbonamide (ADC), preliminarily mixed with binding agent, is used as chemical additive, and mixing of filling agent and binding agent with chemical additive is realised at temperature 215±15°C, with ratio of all mixture components, wt %: PET 11-13, PS 12-14, LPPE 11-13, HPPE 10-13, azodicarbonamide 1-2, technological chips 55-45, after mixing all components obtained mixture is poured into moulds, moulds are covered with cover, fixed with locks and kept for 20-30 min.
EFFECT: obtaining heat-insulating material with reduced heat conductivity and with high strength characteristics.
