FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrochemical modular cell for treatment of electrolyte solutions. Cell comprises a sealed housing with top and bottom covers, cylindrical, vertically mounted, coaxially arranged with respect to each other hollow outer and inner electrodes positioned between electrodes and microporous diaphragm which separates inter-electrode space into electrode chamber forming an internal electrode with a sealed chamber. Electrodes and diaphragm are placed in a sealed dielectric housing, and an outer electrode forms an unsealed chamber with diaphragm.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of using area of coaxial electrodes, making it possible to increase efficiency per unit of reactor volume, higher reliability of cell due to arrangement of working electrode beyond zone of accumulation of electrolysis gases, as well as easier merging electrochemical cells in reactor with higher efficiency.
